OMG! I was so excited as I made these and they kept looking more and more like the real deal, I was stalking my oven waiting for them to be done. They looked so much like traditional bagels I was concerned that I would be disappointed when I tasted them...but I wasn't! I marveled at how it looked just like just like wheat flour bagels as I pulled it apart. The texture is spot on they are so easy to make! I will be making more bagels (and many other things with this dough) again soon. No more store-bought-pre-packaged-frozen-dry-sorry-sad-gf bagels for me! Thanks so much for sharing!
I just wanted to let you know that I have shared this recipe with SO many people and all of them love it! I have used it with my pizza crust and my chicken and dumplings and it is by far the best I have see anywhere! Thank you!
I want to hug you! I am so tired of every bread recipe having mozzarella cheese in it I could scream. And tired of everything tasting so heavy of almond flour. My hats off to you!! This was as close to a Panera bagel as you can get and I was so happy! I made two with Lilly's sugar free chocolate chips and two with frozen blueberries and they are both amazing. Thank you, thank you and thank you again! I will be using this dough for many things to come ♥️
Made this today using chicken thighs and rich, homemade broth I had frozen. Chicken and dense dumplings was always a favorite but due to food allergies I hadn't found a recipe worth making in nine years. That's all changed now. These are amazing dumplings! Far and above a new favorite. Thanks so much!!
I work really early mornings and am always looking for easy recipes that will keep me full. This is really such a fun and versatile recipe. It has a great satisfying almost chewy texture. I topped mine with pumpkin butter, pumpkin seeds, pecans, chia seeds and apple. SO YUMMY!
Thank you for this! I'm tired of having eggplants rounds as "pizza" but was having a hard time finding an allergen free (for me) crust that was easy and fast. This is it! I served it to my husband, who typically is not jazzed about gluten free foods. He liked it a lot. I can't wait to try it other ways!
This is amazing, thank you! I only loosely followed the recipe. Didn't use vinegar, subbed arrowroot starch for tapioca starch, etc. And when shaping the dumplings, I made thick half-inch cubes, because I like the dumplings to be a lot like thick country biscuits. It was fantastic! Going on my regular meal rotation!
This recipe is incredible. We add some almond milk to the broth to make it creamy and I have even done different veggies and seasoning to do a "zuppa tuscana". LOVE the dumplings. We are paleo due to my son's allergies and man do I miss bread, but this is the real deal!
