Sometimes I procrastinate. I love my Blendtec but after the jar broke, I waited months to deal with the warranty. Well, not really. I immediately tried to do it online but the online form wasn't working and I realized I would have to call them. During business hours. Which also just so happens to be the time I'm at work. During business hours. (Surprising, right?) That's when the procrastination set in. Once I finally got it taken care of, it had been so long that I had practically forgotten the Blendtec was right there on my counter. I used to use it at least once a week, mostly for baking, but I have barely used it at all since I got it back. That changed after making this recipe. I made it twice for the two versions (one in a regular blender), then I kept making it since I had leftover ingredients. Using the Blendtec this often again has sparked my creativity. I really want to keep creating more recipes that use it. Especially pancakes. Pancakes are so easy in the Blendtec!
I'm really wondering what on earth I'm going to do with those pinecones and purple acorns in these pictures. I got them specifically for fall recipes but what do I do once I'm done with them? I'm not really crafty and I don't decorate for fall. Maybe they could be used to decorate a picture frame? I need to get on Pinterest more. Pinterest would know what to do.
Do those of you who drink kombucha check the expiration date? I see them a couple days expired all the time so I always check the expiration. Except for when there's not one printed on the bottle. Then I just figure, "Well... do they ever really expire or do they just get a little flat? Should be safe to drink!" ***Note: I also used to eat pizza for breakfast that had set out on the counter since dinner the night before. Don't ever take my advice on food safety.*** Well I was about ⅓ of my way into a pretty flat bottle when I noticed a super tiny best by date printed at the bottom in invisible ink. Transparent white ink. I'm not kidding. It read "5/15/2015". That's 5 months ago! I know it's just a best by date but that can't be safe. But I lived to tell about it!
That had nothing to do with this recipe but this blog is my outlet for anything and everything food related so I had to squeeze it in somewhere!
Hey, did you see my Fall Recipe Roundup post a few weeks ago? If you need fall recipes, look there because I keep adding to it!

This is seriously the most amazing smoothie. I love orange and cranberry as a combination. Cranberries are out of season now so I used 1/4 cup of cranberry concentrate and it came out perfectly. Definitely going to throw this into my regular breakfast rotation. The fat from the coconut milk and the protein from the powder help keeps you full for hours!
